Boris Johnson has announced a set of measures to begin the process of coming out of lockdown. This will allow businesses to reopen, trade and get back on track. However, there is still a lot to do if we are going to maintain social distancing and remain comliant.
We have been advising businesses on how they can negotiate their way through the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020 to ensure that they are allowed to reopen and if they do, they trade safely. Businesses will also need to consider the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 to make sure when they do reopen, they safeguard the health, safety and welfare of employees, contractors and members of the public. We can help you with this.
Food businesses also need to ensure that they remain compliant and serve food that is safe to eat. Whether you are a cafe, restaurant, takeaway or food business, we can help you when you decide to reopen.
If you have had to close your premises during lockdown, you need to consider the risk of legionella if the water system (taps etc.) has not been used regularly.
